19 September 2016 – Paris, France – For more than 200 years, Maison Perrier-Jouët has nurtured close ties with the world of creation. Unique among champagne houses for this enduring dialogue, it will forever be associated with the Art Nouveau movement, and in particular the master glassmaker Emile Gallé, whose delicate anemones adorn its most iconic champagne: Perrier-Jouët Cuvée Belle Epoque.

Its latest collaboration – with Japanese artist and glassmaker Ritsue Mishima – was unveiled in December 2015 before a global audience at Design Miami/. All’ombra della luce, the artist’s poetic installation of clear Murano glass disks suspended in space, not only revisited Maison Perrier-Jouët’s Art Nouveau heritage, but also testified to its status as an active patron of the arts, offering contemporary artists and designers an international platform for expression. The artwork was joined by a second original piece created by Ritsue Mishima exclusively for Perrier-Jouët: a spectacular blown glass bowl to accompany the champagne service ritual.

Now Ritsue Mishima and Maison Perrier-Jouët are unveiling the third part of their collaboration :

An exceptional end-of-year limited edition for the emblematic Perrier-Jouët Cuvée Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs. The iconic bottle, on which Emile Gallé’s Japanese anemones delicately blossom in white, green and gold, emerges from the graceful swirls of the transparent case designed by Ritsue Mishima. The form of the case, with its organic curves, not only recalls the artist’s signature designs in transparent Murano glass, but also evokes the nature-inspired motifs of the Art Nouveau movement.

This beautiful limited edition complements Perrier-Jouët Cuvée Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2004, a champagne of true elegance and finesse, and a supreme example of the Perrier-Jouët style, produced from a single harvest of Chardonnay grapes from the renowned Côte des Blancs. Just as the Ritsue Mishima-designed case captures and transforms light, so too does this outstanding champagne encapsulate the golden light of its prestigious terroir and the purity of the Chardonnay grape.

An exquisite gift, an exceptional collector’s item, the limited-edition Perrier-Jouët Cuvée Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs by Ritsue Mishima is available exclusively from selected high-end retailers and wine merchants.

Embodying both the Art Nouveau heritage of Maison Perrier-Jouët and its contemporary creative vision, this unique masterpiece offers an outstanding opportunity for lovers of art and champagne to unite both passions around the ritual of celebration.
